Emergency Food Coordination in Leicester 

Reaching people are commissioned by Leicester City Council to Support and coordinate the community emergency food projects across the city. 
 
These vary from Food banks to affordable food projects and community supermarkets, but all are operated for the community by the community and they try meet the needs of the local people. 
Currently there are twenty two projects operating but this may vary depending on a number of factors. 
 
Reaching people support with funds and funding opportunities, food supplies, training and development of community food projects. It also supports the communities as a whole, through an Emergency Food partnership, assisting them to work together to meet city’s immediate food support for those most in need.
