Environment report

Reaching People’s Environment Fund, in partnership with Leicestershire & Rutland Community Foundation, made available grants of up £5,000 to small, locally run community groups in various forms (CICs, charities, parish councils etc) across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to reduce pollution, support wildlife, increase recycling and the reuse of materials and, protect habitats and green spaces.  

 

The organisations not only demonstrated a positive, and often transformational, impact on their natural and neighbourhood environments, but on the individuals and communities by building connections, cohesion, resilience, business opportunities, skills, a sense of belonging and passion to create change.
