We’re extending a warm welcome to Vibha Mistry who has joined Reaching People as our new Health+ Community Training Officer, supporting people with NHS App training and digital health support.
Vibha will help to deliver training sessions in GP surgeries, community centres and small group settings, assisting people to feel more confident using the NHS App and accessing online health services.
After spending 30 years working as a primary school teacher, teaching children aged 3-7, Vibha was looking for a new opportunity where she could continue supporting and working closely with people in the community. Alongside her new role, Vibha remains actively involved in community work and continues her teaching part-time.
Vibha explains that while many people still prefer calling their GP surgery, learning how to use the NHS App can be extremely helpful. She has already supported individuals who were previously registered but unsure how to use the app or had forgotten about it altogether. She now enjoys helping older people gain confidence with technology and achieve things they may not have been able to do before.
“I’m looking forward to supporting people as a Health+ Community Training Officer. It’s truly rewarding to help people and make a positive difference in our community,” said Vibha.
