This month, we’re welcoming Emma Thornton as she joins us to work on the Moneywise Living project, an evaluation of the Refurb IT project and will also help to explore the funding landscape in 2025.

Emma will work for Reaching People for two days each week and brings a wealth of experience from a corporate and business development background. She worked for around 25 years in a leading financial services organisation, focusing on digital payment solutions for a B2B audience. Latterly, she has been self-employed for the last six years, working as a weight loss coach.

Emma was also responsible for introducing Leicestershire Cares, a member of the Reaching People network, to her previous business, recruiting a Business Champion within the organisation and managing the relationship.

Emma says: “Although the charity sector is a different world to that of my corporate background, I’m taking time to understand the sector, the organisation and its members as I support the team with these key projects and help to find appropriate funding opportunities.”
