Reaching People is delighted to announce that we’ve been successful with a recent bid for funding to support our Refurb IT project!
Refurb IT aims to extend the life of personal devices such as laptops, tablets and phones, by saving them from gathering dust or ending up in landfills and donating them to people who need them the most.
The 12-month funding from Leicestershire & Rutland Community Foundation will support related costs of the Refurb IT project including refurbishing laptops, purchasing replacement parts, promotion of the offer, storage of the devices and more.
To date, Refurb IT has provided over 180 digital devices to individuals and communities. Around 85% of recipients have reported improved access to employment opportunities or education through using their donated device.

This support from Leicestershire & Rutland Community Foundation will help us to continue to meet that demand.
