Falcon Support Services joins board in shared trustee role
14th November 2024
Reaching People has extended its board of trustees by appointing Marie Davis and Rachel Hall from Falcon Support Services in a new, shared trustee role.
Marie is the Chief Executive Officer and Rachel is the Deputy CEO for Falcon, a Leicestershire charity that has been helping the homeless and those in need to find independence through housing and community support for over 20 years.
The charity is a Reaching People member and is focused on preventing rough sleeping, offering a diverse range of accommodation, community day centres, training, recovery and emotional and wellbeing support to enable people to live independently.
Marie brings over 20 years of experience in the homeless charity sector and Rachel has over 19 years’ experience of working in the voluntary sector in housing, homelessness and supporting vulnerable people.
Commenting on the reasons for becoming a trustee, Rachel says: “We’ve been aware of Reaching People for some time and are a proud member of the network. Bringing people together and getting them to work more collaboratively is so important, particularly in the voluntary sector, and that’s where Reaching People really helps.
“The voluntary sector is often underrepresented so we’re looking to work with the other Reaching People trustees to help raise awareness.
“I work really closely with Marie and we complement each other well, so can bring a shared set of skills and experience to the Reaching People board including operational management, strategic thinking, grant writing, communications, and networking around health and homelessness.
“We’re looking forward to helping Reaching People to strengthen the support for its network and extending the circle of influence.”
