Reaching People have been working on improving digital access to healthcare across Leicester through its Health+ project, delivering 108 NHS App training sessions during 2025/2026.
The initiative has supported 786 individuals - including community members, patients and healthcare staff - helping them to better access primary care services by building confidence in using digital health tools such as the NHS App.
Working in partnership with eight GP surgeries across the city, the programme has focused on delivering tailored, patient-centred sessions designed to meet a range of needs. The training has received highly positive feedback from healthcare professionals involved.
Chaz Ram, Social Prescriber, said: “Outstanding NHS App training- professional, adaptable, and patient-focused. A fantastic, seamless service. Highly recommended.”
Dinal Patel, Social Prescriber, added: “Great support from the Health+ team. Patients found the sessions helpful and impactful. Keep up the good work!”
Poonam Goyal, Practice Manager, also praised the initiative, describing it as: “Professional, reliable, and delivered as promised. Highly recommended.”
Swarna Erigela, Project Coordinator Health+ at Reaching People said: “We’re incredibly proud of the impact Health+ has had over the past year. By supporting people to use digital tools like the NHS App, we’re helping to remove barriers to healthcare and empower individuals to take greater control of their health.”
We would also like to extend a special thanks to the Health+ Digital Champions and volunteers, whose time, dedication and support have been essential in delivering the sessions across Leicester.
